On February 7, 2022, just days before the day of the Super Bowl, Verizon released a teaser clip of their Super Bowl ad.
Verizon took to Twitter to post the 10-second clip and it features famous actor Jim Carrey.
During the new commercial Carrey reprises his beloved role from the 1996 cult classic movie The Cable Guy.
The clip starts off with someone buzzing the door to an apartment and knocking.
Carrey then says his famous line “cable guy” while the camera reveals the star through the door’s peephole.
The clip ends with the date 02.13.22 flashing on the screen alluding to the fact that it will air during the Super Bowl on that day.
